Before every tournament, I seek blessings from Poker Jesus himself.
Every poker player has a routine before a tournament.
Mine?
Finding Dominick.
Around the Horseshoe poker room, I call him Poker Jesus.
The long hair.
The beard.
The calm smile.
It just fits.
Before every tournament, I ask him for a blessing.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes apparently the poker gods tell him, "Sorry... pocket aces cracked again."
Regardless of the outcome, the blessing tradition continues.
I'm convinced one day it will finally result in a bracelet.
